The Google Pixel 8a might be released soon, possibly in the next few weeks. According to Android Headlines, the new model could come in four different colors, and images of each color option have been shared.
The upcoming Google Pixel 8a is reported to be available in four colors: Obsidian, Mint, Porcelain, and Bay. Obsidian is black, and Bay is blue. Porcelain has an off-white look. Mint, however, stands out with its bright and lively color scheme. These colors are the same ones that Google already uses for the Pixel 8 Pro.
The source of the images and details about the Pixel 8a’s colors is unknown, and these claims have not been confirmed independently. Additionally, Google has not shared any information about the Pixel 8a, including its appearance at launch.
Google usually introduces its A-series phones during the Google I/O event in spring. These devices provide good performance and attractive designs at a more affordable price due to their mid-range specifications. They also act as a link to the flagship phones that Google often releases in the fall.
Google’s A-series phones usually do well in tests. In our review of the Pixel 7a, the camera performed very well, and the fast-refreshing screen greatly enhanced the visual experience. With a launch price under $500, the Pixel 7a was an excellent choice for people looking for an affordable smartphone.
Google has not officially announced any details about a potential Pixel 8a, yet rumors continue to emerge regularly. Just last week, a leaker called Yogesh Brar revealed information about the Pixel 8a’s features, claiming it will have a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to the report, it might have a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 13-megapixel front camera. Given that the Pixel 7a is still on our list of top camera phones, we expect the Pixel 8a to also perform well.
Internally, the device is expected to use Google’s Tensor G3 chipset and could have up to 256GB of RAM. The leaker mentioned that it might be released in May and could be priced between $500 and $550, similar to last year’s model.
This information fits well with Google’s past patterns for A-series releases, and the details leaked last week match other rumors. Yet, there is another rumor suggesting this might be the final Pixel A-series model, as Google plans to streamline its phone lineup and encourage consumers to choose more premium models, such as the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Google has not verified these plans, but everything indicates that the company is concentrating on its upcoming activities. It appears that the Pixel 8a launch is the main event. Expect to hear more rumors about the Pixel 8a as its release date approaches, which could be anytime after Google presents the phone at its I/O conference on May 14.
What we think?
I think the Google Pixel 8a will be released soon at Google I/O. It will come in four cool colors like black, blue, white, and mint.
The phone will have a nice screen and good cameras. It might not be too expensive, around $500 to $550. This could be the last model of the A-series. I’m excited to see it and think it will be a good phone for the price.
