The life of a modern student, as a rule, is quite stormy, studying alternates with big parties, where drinking alcoholic beverages are more the norm than the exception. Of course, some students have completely abandoned alcoholic beverages or have never used them at all, giving priority to study and sports, or some other interests, but there are very few such people. Often, this is because a person who has entered the student life begins to make all important decisions independently. Now, when there is no close supervision, a person begins to feel like an adult and resorts to not the best ways to demonstrate his maturity. Sometimes students start drinking because they are under too much stress at College. That’s why as a student I preferred to pay someone to write my paper or got some help from peers.
Studying begins to alternate with fun, as there are: new acquaintances, interests, and just a feeling of euphoria from freedom. The use of alcohol in large quantities ceases to be taboo. After all, you don’t want to miss the fun so much. Almost every day there is a new reason for fun: someone’s birthday, a good grade, a vacation with friends, and finally a weekend. All this is good, but there is one “but” – these are the negative consequences that are associated with excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages: hangover, apathy, loss of a sense of control, and just a significant deterioration in health. Students don’t think about how the desire to have fun can affect their future life.
Have you ever thought about how people become alcoholics?
I think that everyone will answer this question differently. Passing by people who suffer from alcohol addiction, we can think about anything, but not about the fact that every time we drink alcohol in large quantities, we, like these people, risk falling under the negative influence of alcohol and becoming addicted. The line is so thin that it is difficult to see it. It is a pity that a person begins to realize this only when it becomes almost impossible to change something.
Before another time you gather with friends, classmates for any event where drinking alcohol is planned, seriously think about what all this can turn out for you. The point is not to eliminate alcohol consumption, but to “instill” yourself and, if possible, your loved ones, a culture of drinking alcoholic beverages. It is not necessary to drink an excessive amount of alcoholic beverages, it is much more prudent to limit yourself to one drink and at the same time not turn the drinking process into a competition, where the main goal is to drink as much as possible, for a minimum time.
Have you ever seen the antics of people who were wasted and did funny, and sometimes stupid things? I can assure you that in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication, every person looks about the same as this funny person about whom you are just thinking. A person in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication, for certain reasons, cannot adequately assess his actions and subsequently commits ridiculous, and sometimes stupid actions.
However, you should not take everything too personally and consider yourself an alcoholic. Just know how to stop in time and have fun. However, do not forget during the rest that the exams are still there, and if there is very little time left, you should study.
It’s much better to focus on finding a suitable internship, rather than partying hard. It will give you so many opportunities for the future, as well as so much fun.
Often there are brave people and after graduation, they go exactly where others only dream of. The dreams of others remain dreams because we can no longer decide for ourselves, others decide for us. And we do not even suspect that we have long been hostages of our way of life, which holds us in a very strong grip, and will not let us go unless we want to change our lives by our ideas about a happy life.
So, you, future graduates and graduates, have you already planned your life? The sleepless nights before exams are already forgotten.
What do you see in your future? Frankly, your dreams are so predictable that sometimes it’s even funny. What are the main criteria for you? Let’s try to look at the situation from a slightly different angle.
To begin with, let’s consider such concepts as public opinion and how it develops. Once upon a time, people went to large cities to be closer to the benefits of civilization, because they were tired of poverty and the dullness that was everywhere. In most cases, when it was very difficult to gain a foothold in megacities, people, continued to stubbornly support the myth of the fabulousness of life in big cities, although the reality turned out to be much more prosaic. And now, looking through the news, what do you see? You only see what is shown to us. It is not for nothing that the media is called the third power, it functions only because advertisers pay for it, who pay for advertising, and from the point of view of psychology, it is always more interesting for a person to watch something scary and at least a little able to shake his emotional background, this is the whole point, think about it yourself. No one has ever seen a TV show that talks about happy places or cities where it is easy to live. And there are such places.
Guys and girls, you dream of strong families, this is a normal desire. Do you still dream of strong and healthy children, but do you believe that this is possible in a big city? The heavy psychological atmosphere every day gradually turns guys into a pathetic semblance of men, and girls into female beings who, even without getting pregnant once, already doubt whether they can? I did not touch on this topic for anything, because many times I witnessed such conversations among students who returned to their native places after studying and told about their life and their impressions with irony in their voices. There was no negativity in these conversations, there was just surprised about everything that they faced while studying in a big city. And the surprise was mostly ironic. No one I knew stayed on in the city. And why?
Did you know that residents of small towns are on average four times more likely to go on vacation abroad than residents of the capital?
The standard of living in those regions is not worse, and often better than is commonly believed. What makes up our idea of the quality of life? Often this is how much we earn. And how much do we spend? We somehow leave this nuance aside. And if you imagine for even a minute that you can’t just spend everything you earn?
