Google detailed Android 7.1 Nougat, Developer Preview will out in this month

Google announced Pixel and Pixel XL running Android 7.1 Nougat on October 4th, which is an incremental update for Android 7.0 to bring additional new features. The same update (except Pixel exclusive features) will be rolled out to Nexus line of smartphones and tablets in the coming months.

Nexus 9 LTE receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update, download factory image

Google updated all the supported Nexus devices to Android 7.0 Nougat except the older Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE for an undisclosed reason. However, the Nexus 6 owners started receiving the update last month. As expected, it’s the time for Nexus 9 LTE owners. The update is now available for all the Nexus 9 LTE owners, but it could take a couple of weeks to appear on every device.

Android 7.0 Nougat for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE is on the way

Google’s new iteration of Android operating system, Nougat hit almost all the Nexus devices except the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE. It is going to change soon as Google confirmed to Android Police that it would start rolling out Nougat update for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE “in the coming weeks.” We will see OTA update as well as factory images to flash manually.
