HTC today launched its mid-range smartphones, the Desire 12 and Desire 12+. The devices were launched back in March earlier this year for the European market. The HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ feature similar designs but are different in terms of specs. While the Desire 12+ features a dual camera setup, the Desire 12 is equipped with a single rear camera. On the design front, both the devices offer Liquid-surface design and glass back.
HTC Desire 12+ Specs:
The Desire 12+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI over the top. It features a 6-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Under the hood, the Desire 12+ is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Chipset coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Coming to the memory, the device is available only single variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the imaging front, the Desire 12 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and a secondary 2MP camera assisted by dual LED flash. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash.
The Desire 12 is powered by a 2,965 mAh battery and features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port.
HTC Desire 12 Specs:
The HTD Desire 12 also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and features a 5.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. As it is a budget device, it does not offer fingerprint sensor and dual-lens camera.
Under the hood, the HTC Desire 12 is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. In terms of memory, the device is available in the only variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the HTC Desire 12 features a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The HTC Desire 12 packs a 2,730 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a micro USB 2.0 port.
Pricing and Availability:
The HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ are priced at INR 15,800 and INR 19,790 respectively. Both this handsets will be available in Cool Black and Warm Silver colour options exclusively from HTC eStore online and offline retail stores starting from June 11.
