Now the SmartWatch is finally here for immediate purchase through Airtel and Jio online stores as well as Reliance Digital and Jio Stores offline.
For those who want to buy as many variants as possible, the best place to buy is from Jio online store. There you’ll find all the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) variants along with the Watch Nike+ (GPS + Cellular) and Watch Edition (GPS + Cellular) models. The next best choice is Airtel online store, which offers standard Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) models and Nike+ (GPS + Cellular) models. Both the online stores also offering additional INR 5000 cashback on ICICI credit card EMI transactions with the Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) purchase on their platform.
As a refresher, the Apple Watch Series 3 comes in a 38mm and 42mm band options, with 1.5-inch (272×340 pixels) and 1.65-inch (312×390 pixels) Second-generation OLED Retina displays, respectively. Under the hood is powered by an Apple S3 dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 18 hours battery life. The Apple Watch series 3 comes with the new W2 wireless chip that promised to offer 85% faster Wi-Fi performance and 50% efficient Bluetooth connectivity compared to the previous models. Pricing for the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) starts at INR 39,080 and goes up as high as INR 118,030. Apple Watch 3 (GPS+ Cellular) is an attractive looking timepiece, but in order to use this model, the user must already own an iPhone 6 or a later model with the minimum OS requirement of iOS 11. This is because the built-in embedded SIM (eSIM) in the Watch allows the user to retain the same cellular number as the one on their iPhone.
The JioEverywhereConnect service will be available at no extra cost to iPhone and Watch Series 3 (GPS+ Cellular). Users can continue with the existing prepaid or postpaid plan that they already have. Both devices will simultaneously work off the same tariff. On the other hand, Airtel users will have to subscribe to one of the Infinity tariff plans in order to have the same cellular number on the iPhone as well as the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS+ Cellular).
