If you’re looking to buy a new gaming smartphone, look no further than the Black Shark phone from Xiaomi backed Black Shark. As you would expect from a smartphone developed by Xiaomi, the device features a truly impressive spec sheet. With its bigger display, massive battery, ‘X-style’ unique antenna design, and impressive audio features, the Black Shark gaming phone specs should be able to deliver everything you need out of a perfect gaming smartphone.
The Black Shark gaming phone specs include a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display in 18:9 aspect ratio that supports DCI-P3 Wide colour gamut up to 97%, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of storage. It also comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, dual speakers along with dual Smart PA, and a Hi-Fi audio chip for a truly immersive audio experience.
The Black Shark gaming phone comes with dual 12MP and 20MP cameras on the rear, and 20MP front shooter. The dual rear camera features F1.75 aperture, while the selfie shooter offers f/2.2 aperture. It has a dedicated image processing chip from Pixelworks that offers intelligent motion compensation and image enhancement technology. A feature called dark light detail processing for an immersive gaming experience. There is also included One-touch SHARK key for high-performance gaming mode and a glowing logo on the back of the phone.
The Razer Phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and the manufacturer promises on reducing the CPU’s core temperature by up to 8-degree with a built-in liquid cooling system to keep the phone cool when playing games for longer durations. Xiaomi also introduced gaming pad that can easily attach to the back of the handset and it can be worked using Bluetooth 4.0. According to the company, the keypad has a 150mAh battery which allows 30 hours of usage on a single charge.
As for the availability, it’s only launched in China as of now, but broader availability details aren’t yet known. The Xiaomi Black Shark is priced at 2999 Yuan (about $475) for the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage variant, while the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage model costs 3499 Yuan (about $560).
It’ll go on sale in China from April 20 and comes in two colours: Polar Night and Sky Gray. Meanwhile, the controller can be separately sold for 179 Yuan (about $30). Pre-orders for the first gaming smartphone from Xiaomi have been already opened on Mi.com. In related news, Xiaomi also schedules an event on April 25 to introduce another new smartphone in China.
