Good news for all you iPhone and iPad owners out there. Apple has released the iOS 11.3 update for eligible iPhone and iPad devices that has a bunch of new features on board. Let’s find out.
These include things like the iPhone Battery Health (Beta), which basically shows information about iPhone maximum battery capacity and peak performance capability. The update also brings the ARKit 1.5 that allows developers to place digital objects on vertical surfaces like walls and doors in addition to horizontal surfaces, and it also adds support for detecting and incorporating images like movie posters or artwork into AR experiences. There is also included higher resolution real-world camera view when using AR experiences.
You can expect to see new data & privacy icon as well, and it appears when an Apple feature asks to use your personal information. With the Business Chat (Beta), you can communicate with companies to easily ask questions, schedule appointments, and make purchases inside the built-in Messages app. Apple also introduced Health Records (Beta) that can be used to access health records and view lab results, immunizations, and more in a consolidated timeline in the Health app. Both the Business Chat and Health Records features available only in the USA as of now.
The update also brings four new Animoji on iPhone X: lion, bear, dragon skull and mostly focuses on system stability and bug fixes. Other improvements you’ll find in Apple Music, News, App Store, Safari, Keyboards and Accessibility.
