The V30S ThinQ and V30S+ ThinQ are two of the most beautiful phones at MWC this year from LG. Both the handsets are company’s first ThinQ series devices along with integrated AI features onboard and comes packed with slightly upgraded internals compared to the original V30 and V30+. The V30S ThinQ and V30S+ ThinQ are all about refinement. Design, display, camera, and performance were all key success for the V30, and the V30S ThinQ does all of them better. However, that’s not all about LG’s announcements.
LG has reportedly showcased its upcoming top-of-the-line handset at MWC 2018 called G7 (Neo) that have taken much design inspiration from Apple’s iPhone X. According to Israeli website Ynet, the Korean giant was quietly displaying its next flagship smartphone to a select group of invitees in a private conference at MWC 2018.
The publication also revealed that the unannounced LG G7 (Neo) would ship with a 6-inch 3120 x 1440 OLED display in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and notch at the top, which strikingly similar to the iPhone X. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile platform with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage (it’s also likely to come in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant, though it is expected to be named G7+). The dual rear-cameras are said to sport 16MP sensors with f/1.6-aperture, while the front-facing camera would feature a single 8MP sensor.
Additionally, the handset is stated to be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery with DTS:X sound technology and a new development called BoomBox. Besides key details for the upcoming LG Q7 and V35 may have been revealed by LG. The company appears to have showcased both the devices alongside the LG G7 (Neo), according to a report from Evan Blass (via Venture Beat). Blass also said the G7 (Neo) might be the device LG scrapped in favour of the upcoming flagship phone reportedly codenamed Judy.
Very little else is known about the G7 (Neo), but there’s some speculation that the device will launch rocking Android P out-of-the-box. The G7 (Neo)’s price and release date information wasn’t speculated upon, but it is expected to launch sometime in June 2018 with a different moniker.
