OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 5T smartphone at an event in Brooklyn, New York on November 16. The news was announced by Carl Pei, Co-founder of OnePlus on a forum post. The recently leaked image revealed few details about the OnePlus 5T, including that it will have a FullView display and Metal unibody. This means you can expect an 18:9 aspect ratio similar to what has been seen on the many flagship phones in 2017.
The OnePlus 5T had previously been teased in a OnePlus tweet which suggested it would arrive with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The OnePlus 5T is likely to be an even more powerful variant of the OPPO R11s, similar to the relationship the OnePlus 5 had to the OPPO R11 introduced earlier this year.
The highlight of the OnePlus 5 is its rear dual camera setup, and it does a great job with it. OnePlus 5T, on the other hand, expected to sport much improved dual cameras with 16 MP and 20 MP sensors – an RGB sensor for colour and a monochrome sensor for details. There are also rumours that the phone will have a higher price tag compared to its predecessor.
Carl also confirmed a few details about OnePlus 5T availability, including that it will go on sale in North America as well as Europe starting on November 21 and it will be available in China on December 1. The OP 5T will soon be available in India as an Amazon Exclusive. The handset will be available through a flash sale on November 21, while official sales start on November 28.
