At this year’s GITEX Technology Week in Dubai, BlackBerry officially unveiled its new mid-range smartphone, the BlackBerry Motion. This is the company’s first all-touchscreen smartphone with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. It also comes with 4000mAh battery which is highest for any BlackBerry smartphone. In addition to the IP67 certification and all-touchscreen display, the new smartphone boasts a hardened sleek aluminium frame and soft-grip textured back for greater durability. Like the BlackBerry KEYone, the all-new BlackBerry Motion made by TCL communications and it also comes with all the BlackBerry marked security features built-in right from the start.
The BlackBerry Motion features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage, a microSD card slot and a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device. Check out detailed specifications below.
The BlackBerry Motion will retail in the Middle East markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia for Dh1,699 (about $462) and 1,699 Riyal (about $453) respectively. You can pre-order the device starting today from all leading retailers in the aforementioned countries. The BlackBerry Motion will also be the first BB Dual SIM device to launch in the Middle East. The handset will be distributed by Axiom Telecom in the Middle East, and also available from Etisalat.
