Google today announced that it is expanding its Android One program to the United States with the launch of the Moto X4. The Android One Moto X4 is priced at $399 and is available only in the USA on Project Fi’s network.

“With Project Fi, we set out to make your wireless experience fast, easy and fair—with access to three national 4G LTE networks, and international roaming at no extra cost. But many of you have asked us for more options for high-quality, affordable devices that work with Project Fi. We’ve heard you and we’re excited to launch our newest phone for Project Fi: the Android One moto x4”, Google noted in a blog post.

Android One Moto X4

Like all Android One phones, the Moto X4 comes with a stock Android operating system and a limited number of pre-installed apps. The Android One Moto X4 runs on Android Nougat out of the box, but it’ll get an update to Android Oreo before the end of 2017. Additionally, It’ll also receive timely security updates and built-in malware protection from Google Play Protect. The company says that the Android One Moto X4 will be among the first devices to receive an upgrade to Android P.

Motorola Moto X4 India launch set for next month

The Android One Moto X4 features an anodized aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass protection on both its front and back. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 630 chipset and also featuring IP68 water and dust resistance. The Android One Moto X4 sports a dual-camera setup at its rear. There are 12-megapixel primary and 8-megapixel wide-angle sensors on the back of the Moto X4. Also included 16-megapixel front shooter with LED flash for selfie lovers. Android One Moto X4 can be pre-order it on the Project Fi website starting today. The company also introduced new trade-in program, which let you get up to $165 for select Nexus devices. And if you start your trade-in for Android One Moto X4 by October 5th, you’ll earn an extra $50 Fi credit.
