Samsung has officially entered into the Gaming Notebook arena with Odyssey Gaming Notebook. On the other hand, it has released CH711 Quantum Dot curved monitor. Catch full details below.
Samsung Notebook Odyssey:
Samsung Notebook Odyssey comes in two screen sizes – 15.6” and 17.3”. Both models come with 1080p resolution, Wide-View Angle, Anti-Glare coating. Both the displays can go as high as 280 nits and 300 nits of brightness, respectively. Under the hood, users can configure them with Intel Core i7 7th Generation Quad-core processors, which have TDP of 45W. Samsung has designed Odyssey Notebook with HexaFlow Vent to keep the laptops super cool even under heavy loads. The vent system has been located the bottom of the device, from where you can also upgrade the storage and memory if you want.
The 15.6-inch model can go as high as 32 GB DDR4 RAM, up to 256GB PCIe SSD with 1TB HDD, 2GB/4GB NVIDIA GTX 1050 GDDR5 GPU. On the connectivity front, it has 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet Port, 3-in-1 Slot, Headphone & Mic combo port. Lastly, it packs 43Wh battery.
Meanwhile, the 17.3-inch model can be configured up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, up to 512GB PCIe SSD with 1TB HDD, Triple Storage. It beats the connectivity of 15.6-inch counterpart with USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 functionality, 4 x USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, 3-in-1 slot, Mic. The laptop houses 93Wh battery.
The 15.6-inch variant of Samsung Notebook Odyssey will be available in Black and White color options while the 17.3-inch model will be available only in Black color option. No availability details out just yet.
Samsung CH711 Quantum Dot Curved monitor:
Samsung also announced CH711 Quantum Dot Curved Monitor at CES 2017. The next-gen monitor comes in two sizes – 27” and 31.5”. Both the models feature WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. Samsung said it has 125% sRGB color gamut, 178-degree wide viewing angles with 1800R curvature. As you guys can see in the image, the monitor is sleek and offers a 360-degree design with the proper desktop setup. It has so-called “three-sided boundless” design, which is supposed to hide power and HDMI cables.
Samsung promised to deliver top-notch color rendering with stunning picture quality on these monitors. The new monitor is scheduled to be available in early 2017. Go through source link for more information.
