Xiaomi has announced new products in its Mi Eco-system called Mi Wi-Fi Speaker and Mi Home Theater. Both products are powered by the company’s PatchWall AI technology to learn your habits for better content predictions. To remind you, Xiaomi originally announced PatchWall AI tech with Mi Box 3c and Mi Box 3s earlier this month.
Mi Wi-Fi Speaker:
The Mi Wi-Fi Speaker can stream music from the cloud, and it can be used as internet radio as well. Users can stream up to 20 million songs from partnered music services. Xiaomi has given an option for its users to instruct the Wi-Fi speaker using voice. It can be triggered using the remote control’s mic after pressing the “CH” button. The speaker houses volume controls at top alongside Play, Pause, Skip and Mute controls. You will get 2 x subwoofers and 2 x Tweeters, which can deliver 24 bit/192 KHz audio. The audio output has been rated at 2x10W, and it requires 30W power. On the connectivity front, the speaker comes with Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA/QPlay, USB port. It also has 8GB storage and the hardware measures 90 x 95 x 282 mm.

Mi Home Theater:
Meanwhile, Mi Home Theater supports 360-degree audio output, and it supports wide-range of codecs such as H.265 4K @ 60 FPS, 2K @ 60 FPS, H.264 4K @ 30 FPS, 2K @ 30 FPS, MJPEG up to 1080P @ 30 FPS, REAL 7.8.9MPEG1/2/4, VP8. Additionally, Xiaomi blessed it with much needed Dolby DTS Audio and Sound processing technology for crystal clear audio output. Amlogic T966 Quad-core SoC powers the speaker, which is clocked @ 1.8GHz. The SoC utilizes ARM Cortex-A53 cores. There is ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU clocked @ 750 MHz. The player sports 2GB LPDDR3 RAM with 8GB eMMC 5.0 storage. It runs MIUI TV with PatchWall AI technology to enhance the predictions for users based on their habits.
The Home Theater comes with one 6.5-inch Subwoofer for highs. In Soundbar, you will see one 2.5-inch Bass speaker with two tweeters. Moreover, there are two 2.25-inch wireless rear surround speakers alongside one wireless transceiver and one 360-degree sound speaker. On the ports front, users will have traditional Ethernet port, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 one of each and three HDMI 2.0a ports. The Home Theater can playback any video over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, which is nice.

Mi Wi-Fi Speaker has been priced at CNY 399, which is slated to go on sale in China starting November 25th while the Mi Home Theater will be coming in December and will set you back CNY 1999.
