Acer has announced TravelMate X3 Notebook series that is specially designed for small and medium business professionals. The 14″ TravelMate X349 notebook is the first in TravelMate X3 Notebook lineup, and it has a built-in fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello for fast and secure sign-in. Meanwhile, a TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) chip increases platform integrity and enables hardware-based protection for passwords and encryption keys.
The TravelMate X349 features Full HD IPS display with 180-degrees wide viewing angle and it also has an LED backlit keyboard. The machine has got 6th Generation Intel Core processors, up to 8GB DDR4 memory, and up to 512GB SSDs. The TravelMate X349 also boasts top class speakers and microphones along with a 720p HDR webcam for high-quality video conferencing.
On the surprising side, it ships with Windows 10 Pro for best-in-class performance, powerful security and productivity essentials for business needs. In addition, the Notebook pre-loaded with Acer ProShield Manager and Acer Office Manager for enhanced user experience.
Acer’s TravelMate X349 sports sleek aluminum chassis with a brushed-metal finish, measuring 18 mm (0.7 inches) thin and weighing in at 1.53 kg (3.3 pounds). TravelMate X349 also includes a USB Type-C port for fast data transfer, high-resolution video output, and convenient charging which also allow users to pair with an Acer USB Type-C Dock (sold separately) to connect up to two 4K displays. The company promises up to 10 hours of battery life to support productivity on the go.
The TravelMate X349 Notebook will be available at a starting price of $649.99 in North America in October. Also, it will be available in EMEA regions and China in September for €480 and ¥5999, respectively.
