Samsung is reportedly working on Nougat update for Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy Tab S2 devices as well. Just a couple of days ago, we heard that the company is working on Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Nougat update. After adding Note5 to the list, Samsung has pulled in entire 2015 flagship smartphone lineup to receive Nougat update. Moreover, Note5 became a crucial phone for Samsung after Note7’s discontinuation, so you can pretty much expect it.

However, we are yet to see whether or not these last generation devices will get similar features as S7/S7 edge models. Samsung introduced Grace UX with Note7, and it brought this redesigned UX to S7 and S7 edge with Nougat Beta build. As a Note7 user, I can say that Grace UX has matured a bit more in Nougat build, especially, in notifications and quick toggles area.

Galaxy S7 Nougat Beta

As promised earlier, Samsung has extended the beta program to China as well. The company is now rolling out Beta Nougat build for pre-registered S7 Edge owners in China. It weighs around 1.38GB and brings Android 7.0 to the system. We are far closer to see a final release, stay tuned for that.
